Fender Bassman 20 Tube Amp with 15″ JBL Upgrade Picture(s) and Description:

Fender

1982 or '83 (probably '83) Fender Bassman 20 point-to-point hand-wired tube amp. Closed back cabinet with a 15" speaker. They originally came with an Eminence speaker, but this one was upgraded to a JBL E-140. I have both versions and what I hear is a tone monster either way. Fantastic for bass or guitar. Check the online forums. From what I can find, there were less than 500 of these made in their two years of production. After these they went solid state. Apparently I'm not a knowledgeable eBay poster since half the pictures are turned the wrong way. I have no idea why, as they were all posted in the same direction. This is a very clean amp, though not mint. A) Notice the cord covering was pulled away from the plug. Still original and it's still well connected. B) There is a very small snag on the grill cloth on the left side about a third of the way up from the floor. C) The grill panel sometimes comes loose from the front. It's the Velcro they used then. On my other amps I've replaced it with the modern version, but since I never played this out, I left this one original. It's an easy $5 fix if you want to do it. Sorry about the shipping charge, but this is not some lightweight transistor radio. It's the real deal. Ask questions before you bid and I'll do my best to answer them.
